London calling

I know I keep banging on about how brilliant London is but lately the hidden treasures I’ve discovered have upped the anti.

My lecturer is obsessed with London and he reacted like a child on Christmas Eve when discovering that he was taking us on a guided tour of London city.

We explored such a variety of places from churches to city walls and it was super interesting to see the history behind the city that I wonder every day.

Look how beautiful this ceiling is, I can’t remember the exact name of the church but it’s to the right of bank station!

We also got to see the burial site of John Milton which was weird as we were stood on him, the author of paradise lost and I was just stood on him. My converses graced the stone where he was buried which is bizzare!

I think we take for granted the history of where we live. Rushing passed the building that now host McDonald’s and Costa which used to be houses and halls for those of the 18th, 19th and 20th century. We never look up, there are so many signs and historical icons if you look up, don’t look down at the pavement!

So start looking up my lovelies and see the world before your eyes before it dissapears ❤️

Much love,

Hannah Jayne Artis ❤️
