Exploring Emmet’s Garden πŸƒπŸ

Hi everyone!

Last Friday mum and I visited the lovely Emmet’s Garden, a National Trust place just a few miles from Sevenoaks. We became members last year as we have about twenty properties and gardens within thirty miles of us. At roughly Β£10 each entry we save so much money as it’s only Β£10 a month to be a member!

I was desperate to visit somewhere with my camera to get some lovely shots and to step through the crunchy leaves of orange and red πŸ‚. There are lots of little parts to Emmet’s Garden which was really nice as you got to see a variety of flowers, plants and our walk didn’t really feel like a walk as you were constantly looking for new things.

The Rock Garden was so cute!
The rose garden was really pretty and I love this photo I got!

The rose garden smelt amazing! The scent of the flowers was gorgeous and they looked so lovely too. The arch was super pretty too and I couldn’t resist getting a photo.

After that we stopped off in The Old Stables Cafe which was yummy and Bonnie (the dog) was even allowed in so she was happy to get out of the wind! They had a small menu but something for everyone and there was cake, so what more could you ask for?!

I love these photos I got of Bonnie in the cafe!

We then explored the South Garden and found these funky golden looking mushrooms which made me feel like I was in Narnia and Mr Tumnus was going to run round the corner with a hanky! I got some slightly strange looks for crouching on the floor but I’m happy with these shots so it was worth it!

Insert Mushroom pun here!

Once we were all mushroomed out we headed to the woods and found so many chestnuts! I’d not tried them before and I probably won’t try them again haha! There was such a gorgeous view once we’d got up a slight incline, good thing there was a bench to help me recover!

So there we have it my trip to Emmet’s Garden! I hope you enjoyed the post and have had a fabulous Monday ❀️

Much love,

Hannah Jayne Artis πŸ’•

  2. Please tell me you cooked the chestnuts before you ate them ?! Otherwise I ‘m not surprised they tasted yuk! I remember my dad placing a handful of chestnuts in foil and laying it in the the embers of an open fire ; the skins dry and become brittle and you can break them off. He’d sprinkle the warm roasted chestnuts with salt and we would grab them from his hand and gobble them down. Yum. A real taste of autumn.
